This soccer camp will focus on helping soccer players improve their goal scoring abilities. This one of a kind camp will be led by Michael Curless, a nationally licensed soccer coach and co-founder of Acadia Fire FC, a local travel soccer club. Michael was a goal scorer who played on high level youth and adult teams in the US and Europe. Michael teaches soccer skills through creative and fun exercises and games that provide opportunity for meaningful repetition. Michael's positive attitude and enthusiasm for soccer is infectious—players can't help wanting to play better and more when they are around him.

All players will learn the core skills of goal scoring and will practice scoring goals from different distances and angles from the goal in varied game scenarios. Players will learn how to strike a soccer ball correctly for power and accuracy and practice other important dribbling and trapping techniques that will help players get more goal scoring chances. The use of multiple goals and small sided games will ensure that each player receives the maximum opportunities to practice the most fun and arguably the most important skill in soccer—goal scoring.

Goalkeepers: This camp will also offer coaching for players who want to learn how to be a goalkeeper. Goal scorers will provide plenty of opportunities to practice saving shots.
